Mari State University Shines at StudRussia Volga District
The Volga Federal District stage in Nizhny Novgorod marked the thrilling conclusion of the ‘StudRussia’ contest for international students. Over two exciting days, participants from around the world showcased their creativity and energy, leaving a memorable impact on everyone present.
More than 140 students from 27 countries and 43 universities converged to showcase not only academic competence but also storytelling flair, innovation, and leadership. The format pushed participants beyond standard classroom performance. It required them to build personal portfolios, craft video presentations, and defend original projects before expert panels.
The atmosphere was charged with energy as students brought their visions and identities to the forefront, turning the event into a vibrant showcase of international student impact in Russia.
The university emerged as one of the standout performers of the competition, with multiple students securing top honours across high-stakes categories.
- Manish Landage claimed the “Best International Student” Grand Prix in the English-language segment.
- Aryan Thakare captured 2nd place in the nomination “Inspired by Creativity.”
- Senthilkumar Daraneeshwaran secured 2nd place in the “Summit Seekers” nomination.
- Idayachandran Megha took 3rd place in the same nomination.
- Divyansh Kumar secured 3rd place in the “Best International Student” category.
